Oh, Inverted World

So, the pink and red Vday madness has started cropping up everywhere, so in typical reactionary manner, I have created an outfit based on the opposites! I am actually a little bit in love with the shoes and dress combo - searingly bright but just sooo right!

However, given that my boy is actually quite into Valentine's Day and I suspect my less than enthusiastic nature has rather dampened his in previous years, I am going to surprise him this year. I have already booked a restaurant and I shall work on getting a card together...
What plans do you have? Or is it still too early to even be thinking about these things?!

Thrifting New Blogs

I've been stumbling around the web the last few days falling into blogs and websites I never knew existed. While I have found a few bizarre ones, there have also been absolute gems I now adore!

Tiny Dolls

The Dainty Squid

I have also been collecting inspiration and my hard drive is fast filling up with beautiful pictures. So, I feel the need to share :) Many of these pics had been re-blogged when I found them, if anyone knows where they are from originally, let me know in the comments please.

Spring Time Soon

All the new trends are out and about and ready to be played with - I am particularly excited about digging out some Summer favourites that have been hibernating in a box over Winter. Not that I can admit to any specially warm weather to encourage these feelings...but my sparkly new jewellery suggests summer evenings to me, so I started out by designing an outfit around a purple and silver pendant necklace.

I love the glimmery quality of the maxi skirt, not to mention the simplicity of the white tee - everyone needs a white tee in their wardrobes, to act as base layer, statement or foundation for a stronger look. The beautiful blue boots add an edge and the shimmer of the necklace picks out the gleam in the skirt and the colour of the boots peeping out from underneath the hemline. I included a manicure idea of subverting the traditional French Manicure with brighter pink moons, to pink out the Spring-fresh colours and keep the look light instead of drifting into grey territory.
How do you like it?

So, in lieu of proper employment, I have turned my jewellery-making hobby into a full-on business and started up NimbleFoxDesign! I hope you'll check out my shop on Sense of Fashion, and I hope to get one going on Etsy as well. I've even opened a Twitter account in order to help get the word out and I do not understand it at all, so any Twitter tips you can pass on would be greatly appreciated! I'm nimblefoxdesign and I'd love to hear from you, Twitter-time!

My jewellery is touchy-feely, highly embellished glam bohemia stylee and will be beautiful for Summer, dressing up a plain shift dress for work or letting a statement piece glitter over your party dress in the evenings.

I'd love to take commissions as well, so if you have an idea, let me know! Hopefully, once the weather brightens up enough to give me some decent light, I'll be able to get some good pictures of my pieces up on here, so you know what they actually look like!

In the meantime, two pieces have been put up for sale on SOF, so go check them out and let me know what you think!
