Early mornings

I'm suddenly seeing a lot more early mornings. I just got a new day job which involves being up and at 'em by 5.30am. Its new and original to watch the sun coming up while at work, instead of the other way around! This burning the candle at both ends is going to be severely tested however, as this weekend I have tickets to a ball in London - ending at 3am. Going to make my Sunday shift very entertaining.
Lets ignore the sleep deprivation and look instead and all the exciting new developments. I just updated my Etsy shop with some new graphics and I've been sketching new designs all day. Once I've got me a glue gun, then its all questions out the window and lots of pretty things shall be created! So excited! It is possible I should not operate hot glue implements with so little sleep under my belt, but we'll see how it goes.
I have a beautiful bunch of daffodils from my birthday last week, in their oh-so-cutting-edge vase (yep, I have no vase, they reside in an old curry sauce jar!) making me feel Spring everytime I catch a glimpse of them. I'm listening to The Like and Cheap Trick and loving every moment, despite the early wake-up call I'm going to get tomorrow.

Pinkness

I am in love with this lace dress and I intend to purchase it at the soonest available opportunity (read: when my boyfriend comes home from work and I beg it of him as my birthday present!) The jacket, as well, looks divinely soft like butter leather but alas, lies way out of my budget range. This then, is the outfit of casual springtime that I wish to pair with this sparkly pink heart necklace as a Valentine's Day/retro cute look.

I am off now to do a little more sewing and hopefully finish some more Valentine's Day themed pieces for my Sense of Fashion store. Then, even as the sky grows darker with impending February gloom, I shall paint my nails a bright and cheery yellow! Oh, Inverted World

So, the pink and red Vday madness has started cropping up everywhere, so in typical reactionary manner, I have created an outfit based on the opposites! I am actually a little bit in love with the shoes and dress combo - searingly bright but just sooo right!

However, given that my boy is actually quite into Valentine's Day and I suspect my less than enthusiastic nature has rather dampened his in previous years, I am going to surprise him this year. I have already booked a restaurant and I shall work on getting a card together...
